    Advertising out of state

It was suggested that we market our UT home in a tourist area, to the CA market who maybe has more disposable cash for a 2nd/vacation home. Probably half the properties in our area are 2nd homes.

Any suggestions on what sites would be best for this strategy?

Facebook. You you can choose the area you're advertising to, and lots of other factors.

There might even be groups designed around Real Estate for sale in your touristy area. Search for key terms on facebook and look for groups that might be good.

Anyone anywhere can search anywhere using Zillow and other sites by selecting the city and other search parameters. I say nothing special is needed but don't get your hopes too high. Remember, the grass isn't always greener on the other side.

That's what I was thinking too. Anyone interested in your area would already be looking at Zillow, Trulia, and all the others so what would be the point of advertising out of state. It's already being advertised all over the country.
